To level the playing field, we’ll be comparing the first challenger, the Acura TLX, using a similarly equipped model. The TLX has been updated for 2021 however we find that it still lacks in comparison to the Infiniti Q50. The Q50 Luxe AWD model outperforms the TLX SH-AWD in horsepower and torque. The Q50’s standard LED fog lights and rain-sensing windshield wipers are crucial while driving in inclement weather. But you’ll find yourself paying more out of your pocket to have both of those features on the TLX.
In terms of long-term basic warranty coverage, the Infiniti Q50 again ranks on top over the Acura by 10,000 miles. Both Infiniti and Acura offer four years of roadside assistance. When comparing interior specs, the Q50 takes the edge with ample headroom and legroom for both front and backseat passengers. The Q50 also has the higher fuel tank capacity and shorter turning radius, making your daily commute a breeze. After this side-by-side comparison, it’s clear the Infiniti Q50 comes out on top.
