2025 Volvo XC90 vs. 2025 Infiniti QX80

2025 Infiniti QX80 side view in a modern driveway lined with tropical plants

For luxury SUVs, the 2025 Volvo XC90 and 2025 Infiniti QX80 stand out as top contenders, each offering unique strengths and features for various preferences. This comparison provides an impartial overview of these SUVs, focusing on comfort, convenience, cost, dimensions, performance, powertrain, and utility.

Comfort and Utility

Volvo XC90

The Volvo XC90 boasts a comfortable and luxurious interior with high-quality materials like open-pore wood trim, soft leather, and tasteful brightwork. Designed for serenity, the cabin offers improved sound-deadening for a quieter ride. However, taller drivers and passengers may find the front head- and legroom slightly limited compared to the Infiniti QX80.

In terms of utility, the XC90 provides ample cargo space, with convenient folding rear seats to expand the storage area. It also offers a variety of storage compartments throughout the cabin, making it practical for everyday use.

Infiniti QX80

The Infiniti QX80 excels in spaciousness, particularly for front-seat passengers. With more head- and legroom, it suits taller individuals well. Its deluxe cabin features three rows of seats with massaging functions available for both the first and second rows, enhancing overall comfort.

For utility, the QX80 includes a generous cargo area, easily accessible through its power liftgate. It offers versatile seating configurations, allowing for increased storage capacity when needed. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with numerous storage solutions to accommodate various items.

Convenience

The Volvo XC90 and Infiniti QX80 offer comparable fuel efficiency, with the XC90 averaging about 25 mpg and featuring a plug-in hybrid variant (PHEV) that boosts mileage for shorter trips. In contrast, the QX80 averages around 20 mpg. The XC90's slightly better fuel efficiency and PHEV option provide a small advantage, particularly for those who frequently drive long distances or prefer eco-friendly choices. However, the QX80 makes up for this with its robust engine and luxurious features, delivering a powerful driving experience. This similar fuel efficiency allows both vehicles to cover comparable distances on a single tank, reducing the need for frequent gas station stops. Whether you opt for the technology-rich XC90 or the luxurious QX80, you’ll enjoy extended journeys with minimal refueling interruptions.

Cost

Volvo XC90

The Volvo XC90 is more budget-friendly, with a lower MSRP starting at $66,895. It presents a valuable option for luxury SUV buyers seeking quality and features without breaking the bank.

Infiniti QX80

The Infiniti QX80, while rich in premium features, comes with a higher price tag. The base model starts at $84,445 and can reach $112,590 for the fully-loaded Autograph AWD model, reflecting its enhanced performance and additional luxury features.

Dimensions

Volvo XC90

The Volvo XC90 is more compact than the Infiniti QX80, making it easier to maneuver and park in tight spaces. Its dimensions are:

  • Wheelbase: 117.5 inches
  • Length: 195.0 inches
  • Width: 75.7 inches
  • Height: 69.9 inches

Infiniti QX80

The larger Infiniti QX80 provides more interior space but can be challenging to park in limited spaces. Its dimensions are:

  • Wheelbase: 121.0 inches
  • Length: 211.2 inches
  • Width: 80.0 inches
  • Height: 76.6-77.9 inches

Performance and Powertrain

Volvo XC90

The Volvo XC90 offers balanced performance with various powertrains, including a turbocharged and supercharged four-cylinder engine and a plug-in hybrid model. The top-tier T8 plug-in hybrid delivers 455 horsepower and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds while maintaining excellent fuel economy, ideal for long drives. All models feature all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission for smooth and efficient performance.

Infiniti QX80

The Infiniti QX80 is a powerhouse with a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 engine that produces 450 horsepower and easily tows heavy loads, thanks to its 516 lb-ft of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in about 5.3 seconds, offering a thrilling driving experience. Equipped with a nine-speed automatic transmission, its higher torque ensures better power delivery to the wheels, perfect for heavy-duty tasks and off-road adventures.

Celebrate National Tailgating Day with the Ultimate Tailgating Guide

The First National Tailgating Day was celebrated on September 3, 2016, and since then, it has become an essential event for sports fans across the country. Scheduled on the first Saturday of September each year, it marks the start of the football season and the beginning of countless tailgates filled with food, fun, and fandom.

What is Tailgating?

Tailgating is an American tradition where sports fans gather outside their favorite sports venue before a game to socialize, eat, drink, celebrate their team, and get pumped up for the game ahead. While often associated with football, tailgating is also a common practice during baseball season and at NASCAR races, where enthusiasts tailgate for days in the infield.

Tailgating is more than just an event; it’s a culture. It brings people together, fosters team spirit, and builds a sense of community. Whether you’re a rookie or a seasoned tailgater, here are some tips to ensure your National Tailgating Day is a success.

Top 10 Tips for a Successful Tailgate

1. You Don’t Have to Go Big

Even with limited space or budget, you can make your tailgate the place to be. Use innovative products like coolers with built-in sound systems or portable grills with built-in speakers.

2. Prepare for the Elements

September can be hot. Bring sunscreen, hats, and tents for shade. Wear breathable clothing and consider hand-held air-conditioning units to keep cool.

3. Explore New Things

Surprise your tailgating crew with new games, local craft beers, or unique recipes like grilled lobster tails.

4. Sit Back and Relax

Invest in comfortable seating like GCI Outdoor freestyle rocking chairs or portable hammocks. Even tailgating chairs with built-in shade and fans can make a big difference.

5. Keep Cool

Ensure your drinks stay cold. Add rock salt to your cooler to drop the temperature below freezing. Devices that chill drinks in 60 seconds are also a great option.

6. One Size Doesn’t Fit All

Be mindful of different dietary needs. From peanut allergies to vegan diets, having options for everyone is crucial. Consider vegan burgers and brats that “bleed” beet juice when grilled. The traditional fare is burgers and hot dogs, however, and you can’t go wrong with the classics!

7. Power Up

Keep a small, portable power station to charge phones and other electronics. You'll be the hero of the tailgate.

8. Bug Off

Use portable devices that keep insects away without chemicals. Tools that use table salt to kill flies are effective and fun.

9. Don’t Be That Guy

Balance your alcohol intake with water to stay hydrated. Having a portable breathalyzer can help prevent intoxicated driving.

10. Let Your Outfit Speak for You

Stand out with wild shirts and pants that express your fandom. Innovative accessories like belt buckles that hold drinks can add a fun twist.

The Perfect Tailgating Vehicle

Selecting the right vehicle can greatly elevate your tailgating experience. When considering trucks, prioritize features such as generous cargo space for chairs, coolers, and grills, along with tailgate functionality that doubles as a table or seating area. Choose models equipped with built-in electrical outlets and power generators. SUVs also make excellent choices, especially those with foldable rear seats for extra storage. Enhance your setup with accessories like awnings, storage containers, and tailgate mats.

Regardless of the vehicle, some features are indispensable: power outlets to keep devices charged, comfortable leather or vinyl seats for easy cleaning, entertainment systems with integrated screens and sound systems, and safety features like blind-spot monitors and lane departure warnings to ensure a secure journey.

Enjoy Tailgating the Right Way!

Tailgating is a cherished tradition that brings people together to celebrate their favorite sports teams. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a first timer, following these tips can ensure a successful and enjoyable tailgating experience.

Ready to elevate your tailgating game? Visit Infiniti of West Chester to shop for a new  SUV that's perfect for all your tailgating needs. We suggest either the QX60 or the QX80 to ensure you have all the room you need to enjoy your time with all your new best friends. Get ready to tailgate in style!

2024 Acura MDX vs. 2024 Infiniti QX60: A Comprehensive Comparison

Choosing the right midsize luxury SUV can be tough, especially when the 2024 Acura MDX and 2024 Infiniti QX60 offer so much in features, performance, and style. Let's compare these two to help you decide. We’ll look at five main areas: Interior & Technology, Space, Design, Safety, and Powertrains.

Interior & Technology

2024 Acura MDX

The Acura MDX has a nice interior with soft-touch materials and the latest tech. The base model has a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Google, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. It also offers wireless charging, Wi-Fi, and Amazon Alexa. For music lovers, the A-Spec and Advance Package have a 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen system, and the Type S Advance has a 31-speaker system.

Unique Features:

  • CabinTalk (A-Spec trim): Lets front passengers talk to rear passengers through the sound system.
  • AcuraLink (3 years free): Provides maintenance scheduling, collision alerts, stolen vehicle tracking, and remote lock/unlock.

2024 Infiniti QX60

The Infiniti QX60 has a roomy cabin with leather seats and a 12.3-inch touchscreen. It comes with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a nine-speaker sound system. Higher trims have more luxury materials and a premium Bose 17-speaker sound system.

Unique Features:

  • One-Touch Second-Row Seats: These seats tilt and slide forward with a button, making it easy to reach the third row.
  • ProPilot Assist with Navi-Link: Helps with driving by controlling acceleration, braking, and steering on the highway.

Space

The 2024 Acura MDX offers ample space, seating seven people, with the third row being more suitable for children or short trips. The second row can be converted into captain's chairs by removing the middle seat, although this process can be a bit tricky. Similarly, the 2024 Infiniti QX60 also accommodates seven passengers, featuring easy-to-reach third-row seats. Its top Autograph model includes second-row captain's chairs, making it convenient for families utilizing all three rows.

Design

The 2024 Acura MDX boasts a bold look with its large Diamond Pentagon grille, new headlights, and LED running lights. Its sporty trims, such as A-Spec and Type S, feature black trim, larger wheels, and sporty exhausts. In contrast, the 2024 Infiniti QX60 presents an elegant design with smooth lines and a prominent grille, standard LED headlights, and a sunroof. Although it is less sporty than the MDX, it offers a classy appearance.

Safety

2024 Acura MDX

The MDX is renowned for its safety, having won top safety awards. It boasts numerous driver assistance features, including brakes that help prevent crashes, lane departure warnings, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, and blind spot monitoring.

2024 Infiniti QX60

The QX60 is equipped with commendable safety features, including collision alerts and emergency braking systems. Advanced trims offer additional amenities such as adaptive cruise control, forward emergency braking, predictive forward collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, high beam assist, and lane-keeping assist.

Powertrains

2024 Acura MDX

Astounding with 290 horsepower and a 10-speed automatic V6 engine, the Acura MDX is everything but plain and slow. The basic model has front-wheel drive, but you can upgrade to an all-wheel drive. The Type S model has a stronger 355-horsepower engine.

2024 Infiniti QX60

The QX60 has a 295-horsepower V6 engine and a 9-speed transmission, with all-wheel drive standard in all models. It has a bit more horsepower than the MDX, but no performance model like the Type S.

Infiniti’s Electric Strategy – How the Luxury Brand Plans to Rival Competitors

Infiniti has been falling behind on electric vehicle innovation. Still, the luxury brand is prepared to stun audiences with their new EV sedan concept first released at the 2023 Tokyo Auto Show.

What We Know About the Vision Qe So Far

First announced at the Tokyo Auto Show in October of 2023, Infiniti announced its debut in the electric vehicle market. The now-named Infiniti Vision Qe is a sleek, stylish vision deserving of the title ‘luxury vehicle’. This futuristic sedan is still a mystery, but here’s what we know so far:

The Infiniti Qe is inspired by the Japanese concept of “Sho”, an elegant bird's powerful and graceful flight. Its sleek, black, metallic body with glowing gold accents makes it seem like an artifact of legend brought from the future. This EV is only the beginning for Infiniti, with plans to expand into electric beyond the Qe’s release.

The Infiniti Qe may seem like a late arrival to the furiously growing electric market. However, due to so much new technology revolutionizing EVs, Infiniti is choosing to take its time and present a vehicle that’ll impress instead of rushing to follow a trend. The Qe was originally set to arrive in 2026 but has been delayed until 2027. This delay allows the world to catch up with infrastructure technology and ensure that Infiniti uses only the best for its luxury debut.

Infiniti’s Electric Future

Infiniti has an inspiring plan for upcoming changes as they rework their brand and transition into more EV offers in the coming years. While we will have to have some patience to see the amazing features that will be delivered in 2027, there are still many great options of Infiniti luxury vehicles to choose from.

At Infiniti of West Chester, we offer all of Infiniti’s flagship luxury vehicles offering amazing features such as an expansive infotainment system, biometric cooling that adapts to you, personalized ambient lighting, and premium sound. Visit our dealership today and let our team help you test drive the all-new 2025 Infiniti QX80 and enjoy true excellence on the road.

A Guide to Detailing Your INFINITI

Purchasing your first INFINITI is a life moment that you’ll never forget. Doing the work to keep your INFINITI in pristine condition year-round is perhaps not as memorable, but immeasurably important. Though there are steps you can personally take to care for your luxury car, there will be times when your own efforts aren’t to your satisfaction.  That’s where taking your INFINITI in for an in-depth detailing comes into play.

Courtesy of Bush INFINITI of West Chester, here’s a rundown of what detailing your luxury vehicle entails.

Detailing: What Exactly Is it?

Detailing – sometimes referred to as reconditioning – is a thorough deep-cleaning process in which your interior, exterior, and tires are cleaned and polished. This can involve a combination of washing off dirt and grime from the surface, cleaning out hard-to-reach areas of the interior, buffing out scratches in the paintwork, glass cleaning, waxing, headlight restoration, and much more.

It’s entirely up to you how thorough you want to be with your detailing process, as our Detail Center offers a variety of unique packages. Just keep in mind that your new INFINITI QX55 requires more care and attentiveness than your average vehicle. You’re driving the type of car that deserves to be kept in prime condition, and for that, we’d recommend our Ultimate Interior and Exterior Detail packages. Consider also investing in extra services offered, such as Ceramic Pro Coating.

First: Some Friendly Maintenance Reminders

Before taking your INFINITI in for detailing, make sure you’re following all commonsense aspects of your daily upkeep. After all, if you stained an expensive piece of clothing, you would rush to get it dry-cleaned. In the same sense, you shouldn’t ignore any blemishes on your INFINITI for elongated periods of time. Oils, dirt, and bird droppings have a subtle corrosive effect that can erode your car’s paint if left to linger. When it comes to the interior, dirt, gravel and sand can accumulate quickly, threatening to damage the carpeting and upholstery. Be sure to vacuum out your INFINITI once a week to stay on top of debris and preserve your car’s fresh scent.

Also be mindful of the elements conspiring to damage your car. Keep your INFINITI stowed away inside on rainy days, as rainwater can activate dry sediment on the finish, which can then damage the exterior if not removed. Even UV rays from the sun can cause the paint to crack and peel over time. To combat this, use some form of sealant wax after washing your car to help shield its surface from the sun. Additionally, use a car cover if you don’t have an interior space to store your INFINITI in.

Preparing Your INFINITI For Its Spa Day

If you’ve decided it’s time to give your INFINITI the thorough detailing it deserves, there are steps you can take beforehand to prepare.

  1. Know Your Vehicle. The preferred products and chemicals used for detailing vary depending on your vehicle’s make and model. Be sure to know the ins and outs of your INFINITI so you can avoid damaging it with inferior materials.
  1. Clean the Interior and Wash the Exterior. This may sound redundant, but think of it as rinsing your dishes before you place them in the dishwasher. It will allow our certified technicians to focus on more difficult areas of the car if the interior is vacuumed and the exterior is washed beforehand.
  1. Know what services your garage or dealership offers. Brush up on the services we offer and decide which is most compatible with your INFINITI’s needs before driving to your appointment.

The Answer Lies in the Details

Schedule your appointment today with our team of experienced service technicians at INFINITI of West Chester. We’re your premier destination for tires, as well as any parts or accessories your car requires. And beyond the cosmetic glow-up our Detail Center offers, your INFINITI Premium Care Plan will help keep your INFINITI serviced year-round, and includes oil changes, tire rotations, air filter replacements, and more.

One last piece of advice: after detailing is complete, you might want to drive home right away rather than lingering around. Otherwise, you might start getting offers for it – because your INFINITI will look like it belongs back on the showroom floor.

The 2025 INFINITI QX80 Reimagines Luxury

The year’s most highly anticipated INFINITI vehicle is nearly upon us. After making its debut on March 20 at the New York International Auto Show, buzz is at a fever-pitch for this summer’s 2025 INFINITI QX80. It’s easy to see why. This isn’t just a luxurious three-row SUV; it’s an SUV that dares to reimagine what luxury is.

With understated yet detailed styling, ultramodern technology, and its smoothest driving experience to date, the INFINITI QX80 is here to set a new standard for automotive luxury. INFINITI of West Chester has more on what to expect from the luxury SUV when it arrives later this summer.

Bringing Art to Life

The QX80 has been overhauled and upgraded for its 2025 model year. The changes start under the hood, where the 5.6-liter V8 has been upgraded to a 3.5-liter V6, powering the QX80 with 450 hp and 515 lb.-ft. of torque. The SUV shifts through a nine-speed automatic gearbox, and Nissan has improved efficiency by adding active grille shutters to reduce drag.

But it’s what’s on the surface that will immediately command your attention. The 2025 QX80 is the first INFINITI model to be produced under the Artistry in Motion initiative – INFINITI's evolved design language. Indeed, the QX80 looks ripped from an oil painting. Its double-arch grille, inspired by the organic shapes of a bamboo forest, is the newest iteration of INFINITI’s signature grille design. Meanwhile, the QX80’s evenly proportioned body is bold and confident, projecting a sleek sense of motion despite the vehicle’s size.

Luxury with an Eastern Flair

If bold, evocative brushstrokes are the lynchpins of the QX80’s exterior design philosophy, the interior hinges on seamless technology integration. Heavily inspired by both Japanese and Kyoto artisan culture, the soft materials beautifully mesh with the SUV’s sinuous technological landscape to form a cohesive, ultramodern cabin.

A pair of 14.3-inch displays highlight the interior experience, and are instrumental in providing the Front Wide View feature. A technology making its global debut, Front Wide View uses camera information to provide a wide, 170-degree view to the sides of the vehicle across both display screens. This gives the driver a bird’s eye view of parked cars and tight corners while turning.

Indeed, if an SUV is only as accomplished as its list of features, the 2025 QX80 could retire today with its spot in the Automotive Hall of Fame locked up. INFINITI-first features include:

  • Dual 14.3-inch monolith style displays
  • Remote Control Rear Seat
  • In-Car Camera
  • Flush Door Handles
  • Invisible Hood View
  • INFINITI Light Path
  • INFINITI InTouch® with Google built-in
  • ProPILOT Assist 2.1
  • 64 Color Personalized Ambient Lighting
  • Electronic Air Suspension

Additionally, each 2025 INFINTI QX80 comes standard with an extensive list of driver safety features designed to avoid collisions, including:

  • Predictive Forward Collision Warning
  • Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection
  • Blind Spot Warning
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert
  • Blind Spot Intervention®
  • Lane Departure Prevention

Taking Up the INFINITI Gauntlet
